Breathtaking Beauty

Aloha!
Nature greets thee
in its spectacularity of view
awakes one’s soul
liken to the sound of fugue
uplifting one’s spirit
from its oscitance
and leaden feel

Behold!
everywhere’s teeming with life
birds warbling
wind swaying tree branches
engilding rays illuminating pathways
clouds in slivers
dappling the firmament
munchkins in garb donned
to school their way toddled
old folks in wide leg stance flowing taichi movements
in harmony displayed
pigeons waddling
for breakfast fill
their feet propelled
fresh scent of verdure inhaled
while the beauty of nature reminisced

Passersby moseying by
with heads hung low
over their mobiles
missing out nature’s sight
oblivion as such
to them
matters not a jot or tittle

On His throne the Creator sits
fingering his creative strokes
over the sky his canvas piece
a masterful painting displayed
in splendourous beauty
of exquisite colours and details
whilst smiling to Himself
the pleasure derived

Picturesquely perfect! we say
To earth His beauty marvelled
though fugacious
yet momentous
So magnificent to behold
than the beauty
in an oblong screen
thrilling us but a while
for it pales before nature

Let’s pause and look up
and not miss
Aloha!
Nature’s beauty to behold!

Banana’s Beauty

Barely two days
Bright and yellow
Befitting robe for me
Being clocked for withering
Be it! If fated so
Believe it or not, time’s my nemesis
Beneath my skin is the pale white me
Be it my will to outlast my lineament
But the tocktact never takes a
breather
Bah! Freckles all over
Burning furious am I
But the Grim Reaper laughs
Bewildered and
buckled in the knees me
Behold! Pluck!
Bless your soul…!
Behind me, sniggers the Reaper

​Serenity in Music

tranquillity dissipating 

ensconced in reclining 

rest between 

delightful sipping 

of hot green tea

immersed in soothing 

breath of repose

serenity comes flooding 

into me stirring 

my deep pining

for you and yet

the Lord’s silent accompanying

drives my lonesome 

travailing 

away without 

remaining

Companionship in Tranquillity

Swaying trees, a gloomy sky and the pitter-patter of rain have made a valedictory gesture to the infernal sun by a waggling motion, signalling it to retire into the clouds. Amidst all that, my soul has been drawn into a solitudinal moment where only my breath could be heard. In such tranquillity, the pitter-pattering of rain seems to be my only companion; yet God contends with that by pervasively illuminating His glory in the form of peace surpassing understanding, indwelling my void within. How loving is the Lord my God!

a bumboat
trailing its wake 
rippling water waves
arcing as it sets sail
from its littoral
three in suceedent sailing
panoramic
from the bay windows
of a hotel room
of twelve storey high
respiting the soul
reposing the mind
gazing cater-cornered
the engilding glowing rays
reflected against its backdrop
its undulating blue sea
What a sight to behold!
though ephemeral
yet when my dulcinea
my shoulder her hand rested
an aha moment realised
of love eternal attested

Life is Two

Where there is gloom
There is bloom
Where there is darkness
There is light
Where there is loneliness
There is companionship
Where there is pain
There is relief
Where there is hate
There is love
Where there is grief
There is joy
Where there is despair
There is hope
Where there is death
There is life
Where there is evil
There is good
Where there is a devil
There is a God
Life is so clear
Like water unsmeared
What is life to you
When you can’t see the two

Joy Epiphany

Joy bursts forth
Smile shines forth
Laughter breaks forth
Happiness raptures forth
All in the heart
All from the heart
All from an open heart
To the Author of joy
To the Creator of your heart
Who sits on its throne
the throne of your heart
Exuding overflowing joy
Only if you open your heart
To Him
And Him alone
