A Faltering Figure…

You know what? While awaiting the change of traffic lights at the cross junction near Mandarin Gardens, I heard a sudden loud boom! Rubbernecking to my right, I saw a small white covered truck being turned turtle and the mangled bonnet of a black saloon at its side. On a closer look, the bonnet was crushed like a squeezed accordion. Then, the green light came on! As I was moving ahead, out of the corner of my eye, I caught a glimpse of the door being opened at the driver’s side. The man from the saloon was faltering as he struggled to push open the door — Beep! Beep! The car behind honked — my gaze bounced back — then I was off the accident scene.
